Delhi – Leh (By Flight – 1 ½ Hours)

After breakfast drive to Delhi airport to catch flight for Leh. Once you arrive at Leh airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. A largest city and the capital of Kingdom of Ladakh. This region is known for its high passes, dramatic mountains and beautiful landscapes hence, called as paradise on earth. Leh, also called as ‘Little Tibet’, is an awe-inspiring destination in India, known around the world for its scenic beauty, snow covered mountains, ‘Gompas’ or grand residences of monks and age old Tibetan-Buddhist culture.

Shey Palace ; the Indus river, Hemis Gompa , Visit Shanti Stupa ; Magnetic hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Indus Zanskar sangam, and Hall of Fame War Museum.

Leh – Spituk – Alchi – Uleytokpo (80 KM, 3 Hours)

In the morning, we will leave for Uletokpo which is the next place on your Himachal Ladakh Tour itinerary and one of the most beautiful camping sites in Ladakh region. Uletokpo which is one of the most wonderful camping sites in Ladakh. On the way, visit Spituk and Alchi . Spituk Monastery also known as Pethup Gompa, located 8 km from Leh . Alchi monastery which is regarded as one of the most important Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh.

Activities

Spituk and Alchi monastery, four arm Bodhisattva statue, Jwalamukhi Temple, Maharana Pratap Sagar Dam , Trekking and Camping.

Uletokpo – Lamayuru – Leh (180 KM, 6 Hours)

Next morning, we will leave for Lamayuru, a small village situated at a distance of 127 km from Leh. The village is known for the beautiful yet odd rocky landscape that resemble the moon landscape. For this reason, Lamayuru is also called “The Moonland of Ladakh”.

Leh – Chumathang – Chumathang -Tso Moriri - Chumathang (240 KM, 7 Hours)

After breakfast the next place in the Himachal Ladakh tour itinerary is Changthang which houses the famous Tso Moriri lake. Don’t forget to carry your personal identification documents as you will be subjected to passport checking at Upshi. This place is famous for hot Sulphur spring which evolves from the ground near the Indus River. A large number of people visited this place to witness the miracle of nature. On the one side the chilly cold water of River Indus and besides the hot bubbling water of Chumathang hot springs.

Tso Moriri lake, The river Indus , Sumdah village, Korzok monastery, Rupshu Valley.

Chumathang (Tso Moriri) – Sarchu (135 KM, 8 Hours)

In the morning, leave Chumathang for a full day drive to Sarchu via Upshi. On the way, you will cross Tanglang La or Changla Pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world. Throughout the drive, enjoy mystical view of mountains and the beautiful flora and fauna in the region – Marmots, yaks and herbs. Stop at Pang for lunch and then continue to drive to Changla Pass . Sarchu is the main stop-over point while on the way of Leh to Manali. Arrive at Sarchu transfer to hotel. The place is situated on the border of the two Indian states; Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Sarchu – Manali (250 KM, 10 Hours)

In the morning, we will leave Sarchu and begin our drive to Manali. We will stop at Khoksar for passport check and lunch. Continue ascending towards Rohtang Pass and then dip into the Manali region. A gift of the Himalayas to the world, Manali is a beautiful township nestled in the picturesque Beas River valley. It is a rustic enclave known for its cool climate and snow-capped mountains, offering respite to tourists escaping scorching heat of the plains.

Visit Pagoda temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Hot sulfur spring bath.

Manali – Dharamshala (240 KM, 9 Hours)

After breakfast, we will leave for Dharamshala which is a popular hill station located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The place is renowned for its idyllic scenic views. Dharamshala is known worldwide for small village of McLeodGanj, lying in the upper reaches, for the presence of the Dalai Lama. Dharamshala is the centre of the Tibetan exile world in India. The town is beautifully nestled in the snow clad Dhauladhar ranges.

Activities

The little town of Mcleodganj, Dalai Lama Temple, Tibetan refugee camps, Namgyal Monastery. Tibet museum and Dalai Lama’s residence, statue of the Buddha, Statues of Chenresig and Guru Rinpoche.

Dharamshala – Amritsar (200 KM, 6 Hours)

In the afternoon, we will leave for Amritsar which is an important city in the state of Punjab. Amritsar is the cultural and spiritual centre of the Sikh religion and is home to Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple.

Visit Golden Temple and Akal Takht, The ‘Guru Ka Langar’.

Amritsar – Delhi ( By Train – 06 Hrs.)

We will transfer you to Amritsar Railway station to board a train to Delhi. Once you arrival in Delhi, we will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast drop to you at Delhi airport for your flight to onward destination.
